stayed here for 5 nights and was very disappointed ffrom the start. Right on busy main road and our room was very small and very noisy. Booked superior room so would not have like to see standard room! Room VERY dark with dark coloured walls and bedcovers. A lick of cream paint and new bedcovers would work wonders. Complained and... more

I have travelled to Montreal for business 3-4 times a year over the last 10 years. Having stayed at other hotels in the past, I was looking forward to staying at the Chateau Versailles for it's "boutique" atmosphere. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed overall. Although charming in appearance at first glance, after taking a closer... more

I stayed 3 nights (Wed-Sat) at the Chateau Versailles in April 2009 after finding a rate of $51/night plus taxes through another website. The location was very convenient for exploring Montreal - easy to walk to other neighborhoods or to metro which is only 2 blocks away. I had requested early check-in prior to arrival and was pleased that my... more

I spent 2 nights here last weekend and was quite happy. The front-desk staff was very kind and efficient, the free breakfast was a nice touch (if not a bit repetitive) and the location was great in my opinion. I unfortunately got stuck with one of the "street level" (i.e. basement) rooms which faced the small, unkept courtyard so it... more

This hotel belongs to the more modern Meridien across the street but has the charm of being an old house. My room had a fireplace and was quite large. The breakfast is more than decent. more

We have just come back from our three-night, four-day visit to Montreal. Our stay at this charming place was a truly wonderful experience. EYES - this is a charming old block of four houses renovated inside to connect the houses into one connected area. The architectural style was beautiful throughout, including the rooms tastefully painted and pleasing to the eyes.... more

Billed as so charming...which means, long steep staircase to the entrance, and no elevators, I guess. This was quite a problem and a bad surprise. The room was very cute, but small. For an old building, the modernized bath was nice. Had a problem with the TV (like to catch the stock activity when market opens). A maintenance man sent... more

This is a true Montreal hotel. It is small, so a boutiqe hotel, but everything is personalized. I really loved it, everything from its location (it's on Sherbrooke street in downtown) to its very personalized customer service. Leave aside Montreal, I don't think I've stayed in a nicer hotel, period. more

This is a great hotel in the center of downtown. It is the true definition of a boutique hotel. I do have special rates still available for that hotel. If interested, check the listing on the Montreal Craigslist or Kijiji more

Chateau Versailles was the best place we’ve been in our trip to Canada. I was expected a regular hotel but they surprised me with a extremely upscale place but not saucy. Just loved it! Great location, great staff and a incredible bed! Our room was downstairs, very spacious and confortable. Breakfast was perfect small, served in a classic style room.... more
