There is nothing "Grand" about this Grand Plaza Hotel. Don't let picture fool you (maybe you're not fooled to begin with). The hotel, as many reviews have mentioned, has seen better days. The first room we stayed in, the air conditioning didn't work property -- so the room was hot and the a/c made a tapping noise all night. We... more

My teenage son & I stayed here when we went to Montreal to see Radiohead. The valet parking drop off area is pretty small, maybe room for 8 cars, but the harried valet was very pleasant & we didn't have to wait long for him to bring us our car back when we checked out. It's seen better days, but... more

This hotel cost us $99 a night, at least $50 less than other hotels in the area. We got a king size bed on the 19th floor with a huge and glorious view of the river. For the money it is hard to do better. The rooms are clean, if a little worn. The beds are very comfortable and the... more

When my husband and I arrived to the Montreal the hotel was hard to find because of several street closures. Needless to say, that was not under their control. Once we finally reached the hotel, it was 2 hours past check in time at 5:00 PM (check in time was 3:00 PM). We were so exhausted from our 8 hour... more

While this hotel claims to be a 4-Star accomodation, it has a few areas that make you questions the 4th Star... While the hotel room is really big and the bed comfortable (supposedly a Queen, most likely a Full) and the location great next to St. Dennis and the Latin Quarter, the lack and lackluster service coupled with the apparent... more

This hotel is very shabby, but the location is fantastic. If you get a good rate on line, it's worth a stay. It has a decent little pool and exercise room. I've never eaten in the restaurant - why would you when you are in Montreal, a diner's paradise!? There's a great coffee shop two blocks away for breakfast. There... more

Spent 3 nights at this property (then a Doubletree). Good location, large rooms, excellent views of Montreal. Rooms could use a makeover--not awful, but not up to today's standards. Parking garage was something of a pain and a bit pricey. Had breakfast buffet one morning in hotel--expensive but pretty good. At the right price, I would recommend this hotel. more

One of my favorite hotels-- I have stayed there three times to catch the Just For Laughs comedy festival or just to experience Montreal's cafes. The rooms are roomy, clean and have excellent views of the downtown skyline. The service is very English friendly if you need it. It can sometimes take a while to check in if you come... more

Recently stayed 1 night with the kids. The purpose of stay - my husband's 50th anniversary which has been spoiled later by the fact that we found $250 additional charges on Visa made by the hotel. After multiple attempts to contact the hotel billing department for an explanation, we've been told that we smoked in the room and have been... more

I'll try to keep this review pretty short as I agree with many points that have been made by previous reviewers on this site. Stayed for one night on Halloween this week-end and it was, as the rating suggest, an average hotel and stay. I would definately not pay much more than I did but around the CAN $100 a... more
