Friend and I were thrilled with this B&B so close to everything we wanted. We walked from there to old port for sight seeing and from there to the Latin Quarter for dinner. The Metro was nearby for our excursions further afield. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable and Eric and Daisy were excellent hosts. They were slso most... more

I spent three days in this B&B, presently named "Couette & Chocolat" with new owners (Daisy & Eric). Previous reviews are obsolete since they have totally redesigned the house in a very cosy way and propose a very nice breakfast with home-made food (cakes, jam,...). For tea experts, the owners had previously a tea-shop in France and they propose a... more

I recently stayed at Gite St. Dominique for one night. I wish I had read the reviews on this website beforehand. Although there were a couple of good points, overall my experience at Gite St. Dominique was quite a disappointment. Like those reviewers who said this B&B leaves much to be desired, I do not recommend it, and I definitely... more

The St. Dominique B&B was such a delightful experience from a very attractive and comfortable room; delicious breakfasts in a homey atmosphere; easy walk to the bath/showers; very clean environment; and, I enjoyed the decor and uncluttered look. The hostess, Michelle, maintains high standards. The perfect location for walking Montreal. So close to Old Town and all the great restaurants... more

My husband and I travel to Montreal often. We have stayed in many B&B in the city yet try Gite St. Dominque first. The location can't be beat. Parking is a breezy and the old port is within an easy walk. We had stayed here with the previous owner as well. Although we miss Andre, Michelle has done a wonderful... more

This was our third visit to Montreal in the past year. The first time we stayed at the San Soucy and loved it! Unfortunately it was booked so we ended up at the Gite Sainte Dominique. The Sainte Dominique was quite a let down. It is very unattractive; not at all what I've come to expect from a B&B. The... more

We stayed at this B&B for three nights in July of 2005. The only good thing about it is the location. Now for the bad stuff: The rooms are very plain, sparsely furnished and downright ugly. The furniture is a combination of IKEA and stuff purchased on the cheap from a yard sale. Although our room was quiet, the mattress... more

The new owner of Gite St. Dominique (new name) is Michelle. She's extraordinarily friendly, likes to chat with her guests and cooks a different breakfast every day. We felt like home, no better! more

Last month I was in Montreal with my younger brother, younger cousin, and my grandmother. We split our two nights between a hotel and a bed and breakfast. We picked the right B&B with Marmelade. We split up into two seperate rooms and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was great and our host was eager to meet everyone. I can't forget... more

Marmelade was great. The crisp white lines and lemon pancakes were awesome. This was the first stop on our November honeymoon in Quebec. It would have been a nice ending as well. Farley was a nice welcome in the mornings as well. Always looking for scratch behind the ears or a pat on the head. I highly recommend Marmalade. It... more
