My wife and I have motored from New Brunswick to stay here many times in the last four years staying from one to twenty-one nights. The area is like a sweet French village with multiple fruit markets, bakeries, and restaurants. It's located just up the street from the subway and a taxi stand. One previous reviewer has mentioned construction noise but... More

Hotel Terrasse Royale, Montreal, has to be the best-kept secret in that city! Perhaps because it is quite far from the downtown area that most tourists tend to frequent. But: it is just a couple of blocks away from Montreal's greatest tourist attraction: St. Joseph's Oratory! And: it is conveniently serviced both by bus and Metro (subway). For a fraction... More

There is a real dearth of accomodation in this area of Montreal (there are really no hotels in NDG). This place turned out to be very convenient as a place to stay while visiting friends and family when their roosts were full over the holidays. Very reasonable. It was great to have the little kitchenette which was well equiped and... More

Terrasse Royale, in the Cote des Neige neighborhood of Montreal, is a terrific bargain for anyone visiting Montreal. The price is extremely reasonable, especially considering that every room is really a suite, with a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. Most rooms have been completely renovated within the last year, so they are in great shape. The location may seem out... More

We stayed there 2 nights for my cousin's wedding. Being a local (I live in Montreal) I was surprised to find this great accommodation in a great neighborhood, in Cote-des-Neiges. Located across a metro station, 10 min away from downtown, walking distance to the St-Joseph Oratory. Close to Mount-Royal Park. This is a gem for those visiting the city and... More

We stayed there for four nights. It is a bit far from downtown but the neighborhood is lively, close to bus and subway, and with nice bakeries and coffee shops around, plus many bars and restaurants. The hotel itself doesn't look special from outside, but inside, the rooms (suites) are really big: large bed room, living room, large den with... More

Well, when I first arrived at the Hotel Terrasse Royale I was somewhat horrified, as it looked a little scary... if this hotel were in the USA, frankly, I wouldn't stay here because of how it feels. However, Montreal is not the US, and as I have been here longer, it's grown on me. I'm actually writing the review from... More

...in fact sometime after I had written a very supportive review of this place I returned there and was forced to leave at 930am due to the very loud sounds of heavy duty renovation work being done in other nearby rooms in the Motel. Several other guests were equally inconvenienced but the Motel manager declined to give any kind of... More

I was there for a couple of nights and was happy to find that my room was actually a suite at room rates. There was a large walk in closet in the bedroom that also contained a security box for valuables. A big enough living room made the place very comfortable & user friendly. This is the best place I...
