Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic venue! We stayed for two evenings..mid March. Upon arrival (early check-in) we were warmly greeted and offered a free upgrade to a suite! Throughout our stay , all staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Our suite was spacious, having a comfortable king-sized bed, and well provided in terms of towels, toiletries and the like. Breakfasts were ideal..fresh hot coffee and warm croissants!! (and more , of course). The on-site gym, while modest in size, was clean and well equipped. Convenient location being close to Old Montreal, VIA Rail and the Bell Centre We would happily return.

Once again, we had a wonderful 4-night stay at LHotel Montreal, for the Festival des Lumieres. The room was gorgeous, - we were upgraded to a suite and really appreciated the comfort as well as the beauty of the art. The location is perfect - right in the old city, walking distance from all the events at Place Des Arts and Place Des Spectacles, convenient to metro and bus. A great stay in a great city. We’ll be back soon.

Awesome location, quite near to many destination sites. The Notre Dame church, market bldg, the river, and the ferris wheel! Not to mention the museums nearby and it is walking distance to the shopping centers. They also have a great breakfast! But there are loads of quaint coffee shops and cafe bistros around. Very walkable distance to the metro train as well. Their rooms are huge and have high ceilings. They cool art decor all over the hotel walls and lobby.

Very beautiful building, I loved the artwork and design throughout. The room was very comfortable, clean and had beautiful finishes. The only issue I had was with electrical in room - signal unclear on most TV stations (not a big deal for me) and the only visible electrical plug needed to be replaced (anything I tried to plug in fell out) and electrical plug behind the fridge was also wonky. Otherwise a beautiful hotel in a great location to explore Old Montreal.

I was looking for something super last minute near old port of Montreal super last minute, we were going out that night and were hoping in finding a place to stay. They were quick to get back to me about availability and were quick to confirm our reservation when finally made. The rooms are as shown, very nice high ceilings, clean bathroom, quiet traffic (you didn’t hear the street traffic at all). Bed is decently comfy, I like something a little more firm, so I slept like a baby. The concierge is friendly, they were very good about our check in and were good about questions we had regarding local restaurants, cafes and even activities.
