My partner and I have stayed at B&B Le Cartier twice in the last 3 months and both times the experience has been wonderful. From the booking stage to our stay at the Le Cartier, everything was handled promptly and efficiently. Both times, we booked a room with an ensuite, boasting both heating and cooling. The room was very clean,... more

I stayed at Le Cartier last August for 4 nights. It was the first time I ever stayed at a B&B and was unsure of what to expect. I decided on a B&B because it was a cheaper alternative to a hotel and also because I was looking forward to sort of immersing myself in Montreal culture. I was not... more

We found this B&B to be everything it advertised, which was exactly what we were looking for: quiet street, close to everything, knowledgable host, comfortable rooms. The self serve continental breakfast fit with our style. The host, Richard, gave us practical information (ditch the rental car) and colorful insight into Montreal, Canada, cultures, politics, etc. We were made to feel... more

We had a truly wonderful experience there. Not knowing what to expect - considering how affordable it was - my boyfriend and I were thrilled with they way it turned out. The place was beautifully decorated and extremely well kept. There was a cleaning service there every day. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor area/back garden - it was a lovely... more

Stunning room with your own kitchen shared with one other room. We had a balcony room at the back, really nice. Owner is extremely helpful, a Montreal born and bred so great advice on dining etc. Right in Montreal Village around the corner from a metro stop, gay pubs, restaurants etc, a really nice area. more

We spent around 5 days in August in Montreal (during a big trip over Ontario and Quebec) - consequently at B&B Le Cartier - and it was simply... great! Thanks to Richard who incredibly welcomed us very late (thanks to North American highways lol) in the evening... Richard's got an amazing experience to share with QC history, human relationships, etc.... more

I had a great stay at the B&B Cartier. I was in Montreal the entire week of Labor day. This was my first trip to Montreal, Richard was very helpful with reccomendations on where to go and places to eat. The B&B is very convenient just a minute or 2 walking distance from the metro and about the same distance... more

Had an absolutely great time here. Right off St. Catherine's, but no street noise (even though we had the front room). Very convenient to metro and bus station. Pickup service from the airport was also a very welcome extra, well worth the cost. Richard is certainly quirky, but very friendly and welcoming, and quite helpful with advice on what to... more

Meant to write this a few months ago, but here goes. A group of 6 of us stayed here for 12 nights from the end of July. We had 2 couples upstairs and 1 couple downstairs, all of us had a fantastic time and will return to Montreal and this B&B whenever we get the chance. The 2 upstairs rooms... more

A great B&B in a good location. Just round the corner of the gay district and metro lines. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with very clean decor (modern/stylish feel). The room was large with a big double bed - although the place only has a shared bathroom, it was kept very clean (looks almost new '06). Breakfast is... more
