La Maison was just wonderful. It was literally perfect for my needs. The owner, Naoko Stephane, welcomed me as if in their own home (which it is) and treated me with that personal touch combined with a professional level of service which is rare in large luxury hotels and small family run establishments alike. Staying in the house was a... more

We stayed three nights at the Maison Bourlamaque, and it was great. Stephane speaks French and English, and his wife speaks English and Japanese. (Their two daughters speak all three languages!) They are helpful, but also leave you space to do your thing. Their breakfasts are delicious. We also liked the location of the B&B, in a pleasant residential neighborhood... more

We just returned from spending 2 nights in Room #1 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room had great cozy down quilted beds with hi quality linens. Room #1 was large with high ceiling, lots of windows and with another bed in a small anteroom which also accessed a large balcony. A very nice breakfast was served each morning with several... more

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my boyfriend. The only positive thing I can say about the place is that it was kept clean and was tastefully decorated, besides that it was an extremely unpleasant experience. I will never go back there again, even if I am getting paid. The host is very awkward and unwelcoming. There... more

First of all, we are very sorry to hear that you (Kloi) and your boyfriend (Mighty Munster)'s stay at our B&B was unpleasant experience. As both you and your boyfriends mentioned in each review below, if you felt unwelcoming, we apologize that we made you feel that way. Please understand that we operate B&B within our house and there is...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Maison Bourlamaque, and we will definitely stay there again on our next visit. The house is charming and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Our hosts, Stephane and Naoko (and their 2 lovely little girls), were very attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast was wonderful! Homemade crepes and waffles, fresh fruit, locally baked croissants, even... more

The breakfasts were nice, the location isn't too bad and the bed was comfortable but that's about it. The host wasn't very friendly and if you don't like cats, definitely do not stay here. Anytime one of us got up to go to the loo in the middle of the night one of their cats (they have more than one)... more

We stayed for two nights at this B&B, and really enjoyed ourselves! Stephane and Naoko were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and airy, and the bed was fabulous! The location was great too, within walking distance of all the sites! Thanks so much for the pleasant stay! Hopefully we will see you again! Marla and Michel more

Great location, great rates, great breakfast, friendly hosts -- what more can one ask? Location: The Montcalm neighbourhood, where la Maison Bourlamaque is located, is a family-friendly residential neighbourhood within a ten minute walk to the Old Town and just around the corner from the lovely gardens at the Plains of Abraham. Montcalm has none of the tourist traps or... more
