We stayed in La Romaine on our way from Quebec Cit y back to Burlington, since the plan was to visit the Cantons de l'Est and other interests between the two cities. (Also, Quebec City was all booked up for that one night because of a Celine Dion concert.)

The room was very clean, and the decorations are incredibly classy, with soft towels and bathrobes!

The breakfast was very good as well. The hosts are very nice. Breakfast consisted of "appetizer" of yoghurt with raspberries and blueberries, and a "main dish" of toasted bread, jam, and eggs florentine with spinach fresh from the oven.

Lotbiniere is between Montreal and Quebec city, about 45 minutes from Quebec City.

They also had an outdoor pool which we did not use because it was cold.

Best of all, we paid only $85 CAD including taxes for the room and the breakfast. The hotels in Quebec city were far more expensive. more
