I had an outstanding trip! Quebec City is a beautiful city and this hotel was excellent. There were many excellent cafes to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I made my reservation through an online travel agency. Upon check-in, the hotel could not find my reservation in their system. I provided my paperwork showing my reservation and after... more

As stated by many others- it has a fantastic location. Easy to walk everywhere you would want to go. While valet parking is available, it is not necessary since the entrance to the parking lot faces the hotel entrance, however, the rate was the same. Nothing special to note about the hotel except that the rooms and lobby could use... more

We were very happy that we chose to stay at the Clarendon. It is a charming hotel in a great location. My only gripe was that the bathroom was small and there was not enough shelving for ones toilet items. When they had renovated the bathroom they should have taken that into account. It would have also been nice if... more

The Hotel Clarendon was a perfect stay in a perfect city! It is located in the middle of everything,,, a very clean hotel with exceptionally friendly (and english speaking) staff! We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, however, the menu looked great! Overall,, I highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there my next visit! more

We had a great experience at Hotel Clarendon. The location is ideal in the middle of Old Quebec City. You can walk all over Old Quebec. The food and service is great in the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel. more

The Hotel Clarendon is a beautiful art-deco building, however once inside our 'room' we were sorely disappointed. My partner and I were given a first floor room (room 123 for future reference) which I am sure started its life as a broom cupboard. Joking aside, there was a small window that looked onto some sort of generator. There was so... more

We stayed in the Hotel Clarendon the night of June 23, 2008. Supposed to be the oldest hotel in Quebec City but in very good condition. We are not luxury-driven but expect to have a good location, clean accomodations and a private bath. Should have known that Trip Advisor would not let us down. All the good reviews are warranted.... more

It is great location and rather nice hall but nothing more. The Queen size bad was double in reality and very uncomfortable. The photos on the hotel’s web site do not reflect the real quality and especially the state of the rooms, which are small, shabby, and unpleasant. Also, in my mind, the carpet on the elevator’s wall is a... more

After spending many hours researching hotels in old Quebec, (the historic part within the fortification walls) I settled on Hotel Clarendon. The location is fantastic and is very central to everything, easily one of the best locations in the village. What was surprising was that a hotel with such a fantastic location wasn't in better condition. It's a fairly large... more

I can't write enough good things about this hotel! The location is amazing, right in the heart of the old city. It's just a stone's throw to the Frontenac and the Fernicular, making it easy to access the upper and lower towns. The hotel has terrific character and the rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The shower took a little... more
