Great location and unbelievable rooms. Very close to the Winter Carnival activities. The hardwood floors in the room were immaculate. Breakfast in the morning was great as well. We'll be back for sure!

My wife and I took our 3-month old son to Quebec in mid-October for a long weekend/fall getaway. I had never been to Quebec City before, although my wife had been long ago. The end result was that I loved the city and my wife had a much better experience from her first visit. We were seeking - especially with... More

This was my third time stay in Quebec City. I wish I had stayed at Maison du Fort the two previous visits!!! I would never consider another hotel. It was wonderful! I brought my sister for her first visit to the city and she loved it! Marielle was an absolute joy as was her feline companion "piano". Piano greeted us... More

Walking distance to great shopping, restaurants , etc. Minutes away from tourism office if you are interested in tours etc. Ten minute walk to trails and rentals for cross country skis and snow shoes which was a highlight of our trip. We are in room 10 and it is large, has great views and is just perfect in every way.... More

My wife and I have travelled to Quebec many times in the 1980s and 90s, but have not been to the city for ten years. As I began to consider making reservations at the Chateau Frontenac or one of the other small hotels near it where we had stayed previously, my eye was caught by all the wonderful reviews of... More

All the wonderful reviews were true and I'm very fussy. Six of us have just stayed two nights and enjoyed Marielle's amazing hospitality. A home from home.. she advises on things to do, restaurants and parking as well as providing all the homely comforts. Will stay there again if we visit Quebec City once more.In hindsight I wish we'd stayed one... All the reviews that say excellent are true. No use repeating their comments. Clean, quite, convenient, beautiful etc etc. We stayed on the 2nd floor in the corner room and the room just before it. Both were great. I suspect all rooms are +++.

Don't pass this gem! In the middle of Old Quebec City, this small hotel won't disappoint. Perfectly located close to everything, this makes a great place to walk and explore the city. Ideal area to stay for museums, shopping and excellent restaurants. Great area for history lovers too as they have some great old buildings to see nearby. Marielle was... More

We spent 6 nights in Room #2 in September 2012 and it was perfect in every way. The location is quiet yet close to everything. We walked everywhere and had a wonderful time exploring the old city. Marielle is so very charming and the room and bathroom, hallways, breakfast area were immaculate (I'm very fussy about the cleanliness in hotels... More

A great place to stay within the walls of the old city. Great location, easy walking distance to all the A+ sites. Lovely Marielle could not be more helpful or sweet. Room was roomy, stairs are a big of a workout but all worth it. Breakfast is self serve style. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
