Three of us booked a room at La Maison Lafleur last summer, and nearly cancelled when we read the negative review here. We opted to try it anyway, and I'm glad we did. Gilles is a friendly host, the food was great, and the price was very reasonable. When we go back, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. more

After reading the first review I just had to say that My husband and I stayed at this B and B a few years ago and also found Gilles to be an excellent host. The place was quiet and clean, there was a real bed! and I didn't see a basement. I'm wondering if these people stayed at the right... more

I have to disagree with the last reviewer... my wife and I have stayed there 4 times and we absolutely love it. Gilles is a great host and made us feel right at home. The home is quiet and comfortable. Old Quebec is a delight as well and a great place to spend the weekend. more

I booked a lovely b&b called 'La Maison de la Fleur' on the bbcanada website. The photos on the web showed a lovely historic home in Old Quebec with fieldstone walls furnished with antiques. When we arrived Mr. de la Fleur escorted us to our digs in the basement of a home he rents to students. The 'apartment' was dark,... more
