Stayed almost 2 weeks during the summer of the 400th anniversary... every hotel was gouging but we found reasonable prices here considering we're a family of 5, including 2 teenagers. The kitchen allowed us to keep costs down. Even if we coudln't resist all the excellent restaurants in Old Québec, we also enjoyed the good food from Québec's fine grocers... more

After reading a few of the reviews here we were a little worried about what our room would be like but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised that our room looked just like the pictures on their website. When we first walked into our room they had classical music playing and the lights dimmed which was nice. We... more

The port royal suites is a very nice hotel. There are many other hotels but this one was clean, and comfortable. The hotel is close to the pier, where there are things to see, and also close to other stores and attractions. If you dont mind the walk most of the things you may want to go to will be... more

When we arrived at the hotel (a short walk from the train station) the hotel looked exactly as presented on their website. We were checked in to our 2nd floor suite, but our porter disappeared and we didn't see him again until later in the day. The room also looked like the pictures on the website, but we overlooked a... more

Positive: stayed in a studio apartment of a size that was more than sufficient for two people. Appreciated the free internet and the Krispy Kreme doughnuts sold at the neighboring gas station! Location is very convenient to the main attractions of the city. Room was clean. Housekeeping kindly exchanged towels for us in the evening even though we had mistakenly... more

I just stayed in the Port royal and we had a wonderful two night stay primarily because the hotel is centrally located and has great looking rooms. However two issues spoiled the experience for me. My first night both air conditioners were leaking water and causing a very strong mold smell similar to cat urine. Once we turned them off... more

The sutie was great. Had to beg & threaten to check out to get feather pillows. The biggest problem was the noise from the bar & resturant 4 floors below.Even with ear plugs the noise went on till 4am every night. So we would not stay there again. The hotel charged us for a resturant bill we never charge.Took 20 mins to... more

This hotel was perfect, during the day. At night it was a completely different story. At the weekends the hotel bar stays open until 3 am and the noise and vibrations from the music could be felt in our room (I agree they are not really suites). Also, the port is within hearing distance so horns, alarms etc are all... more

Just back from a 3 night stay at the Le Port-Royal which we found pleasant and convenient. I booked a two bedroom suite directly through the hotel and found the staff very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants and all in-town tourist attractions. There is not much of a lobby... more

the rooms were modern contemporary with a touch of rustic. Storage was in abundance for all our wedding attires and extra essentials. The kitchenettes are a great value add, and they dont expect you to do the dishes. The best part of our stay was definitely the people there that go out of their way everyday to make our visit... more
