My girlfriend and I have spent a weekend twice and I myself have made three one day trips to this lovely little piece of the Saskatchewan north. The people who run this lodge are nothing short of outstanding and friendly. Last fall on my special thanksgiving weekend with my better half, I forgot to test the battery of my boat before leaving the city. We arrived at the lake only to find a dead battery. The owners of the camp not only offered to charge my battery, the loaned us a battery from their septic truck. Definitly above and beyond the call of duty. The lake has been burnt out from a fire about 10 to 12 years ago, this is however part of the appeal. this resort is in a natural, unprotected state, unlike overcommercialized places such as Waskesiu. Not saying that Waskesiu is not a beautiful place, it just is more of a 'town" than a true Saskatchewan lake experience.
