We had been wanting to visit the wheelwright for sometime after reading some of the reviews... We arrived and were very briskly taken to our table it's a shame we were not able to have a drink at the bar before hand .. But service was good. Very polite and helpful.. After being seated we were reading through the menu... More

We ate here with friends one night. Service was good, although they were very keen to show us straight to our table the minute we walked through the door. We asked for a drink at the bar first which we really enjoyed before selecting from the menu and being shown to our table when the food was ready. Food was... More

Took some friends here for dinner. Generally the food was good and at a fair price. The staff were polite, friendly and service was good. The only disappointment were the sweets which did not meet the expectations set by the menu descriptions. Also the cheese selection could be more adventurous. Overall very good and will be going back.

We ate here for the second time since Xmas and both times we have found the Wheelwright to stand out both in absolute terms and particularly for the area. Dining room is snug without being too tightly packed. Menu is great - excellent ingredients offered in a range of interesting dishes that are well presented. Kids menu is usefully more... More

Good service and the staff very welcoming. The food was gorgeous (the chips deserve a special mention) with the toffee apple mess completing a nice Valentine's evening. Attention to detail was excellent with the tables decorated nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wheelwright Inn and would definitely go back.

Our second visit here was for our son's 10th birthday so we ate early with our disabled parents when the restaurant was lovely and quiet. Had a lovely meal - the fish platter was shared and was delicious and huge. Son was being grown up so had venison and loved it! Love browsing the antiques and gifts on display too.... More

Found the Wheelwright Inn when looking for somewhere to eat when other places had stopped serving. It was a very good find. The food was very good English pub food and the service was excellent. Also sells an interesting collection of antiques.

We called into the Wheelwright for the first time in about 5 years, since the last time we stayed in a local cottage. Things have changed a lot since our last visit, as it's now under new ownership and there's a craft shop in the back where there used to be a function room! Wasn't disappointed with the food either,... More

Staying in Seaton again we sought to go to the Masons Arms, our regular Sunday Dinner treat only to find roasts stopped at 2pm albeit some other food still available. We searched the internet looking to eat locally. The wheelwright and others came up. We rang to ascertain if roast/hot food was still on offer and a friendly voice went... More

We visited twice during a week's holiday in Devon and all four of us had excellent meals. This is an extremely well run business - open and doing food throughout the day seven days a week. There is one main bar area and two separate dining areas - all offer a relaxed, comfortable setting. There is an extensive menu offering everything... More
