This beautiful boutique hotel came recommended to us by my sister and her husband to be who had gone there for dinner one evening while visiting Islay for their wedding preparations. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights while over for the wedding itself and I honestly can not fault the hotel, the service, food or rooms at all.... more

We stayed in this cozy little hotel during our 1,5 week round-trip in scotland, coming by ferry from oban and departing to Kennacraig. It has been very few times I did feel this welcome in any place I stayed around the world. The owners are outstandingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right next to the Bruichladdich distillery, don´t... more

Paul and Joan (Owners) and their friendly staff are incredible hosts. You feel comfortable - thats the charm of the place. The rooms are modern and spacious with luxury fittings. Food is superb, all freshly prepared. Our second visit to the Hotel in fourteen months and not the last for sure. If you want to visit Islay then just stay... more

Look no further, this is it. No horrid wall to wall tartan just tranquil decor and modern en suite bathrooms The food was excellent with a menu from which I seriously could happily have chosen every dish. We had to make sure of certain dishes for subsequent evenings just in case they ran out or changed the menu. Friendly welcoming... more

Had a two night stay here in August. We were met on our arrival by Paul, who took time away from a very busy restaurant to show us to our room and explain all about the hotel. The room itself was incredibly comfortable with everything we needed. The food on both nights was superb, and an excellent wine list to... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights for our first trip to Islay. We were charmed and fell and love with the island, it might be impossible not to, but our stay at An Taigh Osda made the whole stay perfect. The hotel is run professionally and warmly by Paul and Joan, whose effort to make your stay... more

Well, what can we say that hasn’t already been said. This is a gem of a small hotel run with a professionalism that would grace a very good five-star hotel. Perhaps we were so pleased to be here after our previous experience (we arrived straight after a disappointing three night break in Strontian) that our critical faculties were diminished, but... more

We spent three nights here in June and then spent the next month wondering how to find time to go back before the end of the year! We stayed in two different rooms, both with views over the bay, and loved both of them. Clean, modern, comfortable - just felt so cosy, comfortable and relaxed in both rooms. They are... more

Stayed for 3 nights recently in Room 4 which looks to the back. Small room but comfortable bed and cotton sheets. Great modern en suite shower room. Breakfast was 8.30 to 9.30 and delicious poached fruit and the usual choice of cooked food. Eight of us ate an evening meal. £250 for starters and entrees and £100 for the five... more
