It is understandable that in an area with limited charm and inflated prices this auberge is popular, mainly with Brits on their first or last overnight stop. The low priced bed and breakfast rate is reflected in the size and standard of the bedrooms as well as the food. A buffet breakfast is available from 8am and guests that arrive... more

Our short stay of three nights was a delight. The room was spotlessly clean with new towells daily., we even had our own large balcony. Breakfast was typical continental but totally adequate. We've usually driven through this area without stopping but were taken in by the lovely scenery and beautiful beaches and resorts. Just a couple of small criticisms, the... more

Stayed at the auberge on the way to Boulogne-sur-mer to catch the ferry. Hotel does look a little bit delapidated from the outside, and the room was quite small but was spotlessly clean, and a fantastic place to stay for the night. The food was excellent, and the service at dinner was first class (especially considering the waitress was looking... more

great staff ,great room, great food and in a lovelly setting to boot.all our needs were tended to and they accepted our very poorly spoken french with good grace and a lot of english on their part. the menu was bi-lingual too which made for easier ordering on our part. we will be using this hotel again on our regular... more

Nice position. Very small room. Not a lot of atmosphere. Saw lady owner only once when we checked in - son did a stalwart job doing everything else. Garden left to it's own devices and not a nice place to sit, pond empty and stagnant - it could all have been so pretty with a bit of effort. Nice to... more

Stayed for one night, although auberge was looking a little tired on the outside, it was absolute charming and full of character. Location was very peaceful with only noise coming from running water from mill. We received warm welcome and staff attentive and friendly at all times. We were given large room overlooking mill, room was spotlessly clean, although there... more

Most modestly priced accomodation in the calais / boulogne region is pants - this is the glittering exception. An amazing location, great 'nouvelle cuisine' presented food. I noticed the standard of presentation is not as high as it has been - and the service is also becoming sluggish - a fact I might put down on my last stay to... more

This Auberge offers the best value we have experienced anywhere! Booked as part of a very reasonably priced 3 nights for 1 offer with Driveline which included the ferry, we were quite prepared to accept less than perfect...so were surprised by the wonderful countryside location of the Auberge du Moulin and the very comfortable facilities. Yes, I suppose it could... more

We spent two nights here, once en route to our holiday in the Pyrenees and once on our return. We found the location perfect, extremely peaceful and picturesque. Like other reviewers, we found there were a majority of English guests and, also like others, we found the lack of soundproofing a bit disturbing. The worst aspect, however, was the poor... more

This is a pretty and comfortable hotel in the heart of the countryside. The room was very pleasant and very good value. Nice dinner from their set menu - good value for the quality of the ingredients. Drinks a little bit more expensive than the norm. Slight downsides. We had a room in the main building and sound proofing was... more
