We spent only two nights in this cozy and charming family-run hotel in the tiny village of Luyego de Somoza, near the Leon Province city of Astorga. Thoughtfully rebuilt from an old dilapidated stone building, Hosteria Camino has nine individually appointed rooms (each named for a constellation), with antigue furniture but modern bathrooms. The village is very sleepy, but the surrounding area is beautiful and the valley is loaded with similar villages. The kitchen is run by the mother (whose middle name is Hosteria - hence the name), whose life-long dream had been to have a restaurant. Her husband and sons manage the hotel and the front of the house. Service is top-notch and personalized. We were a group of six, including two small children, and we could not have had a nicer time at this little hotel, which is part of the Turismo Rural network in Spain. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful few days in the countryside. more
