I spent one night at the Cedar Lodge late November after arriving in the evening on the ferry from France. The hotel had been highly recommended by a Cork man I had met during a previous ferry crossing. I am glad I took his advice. As soon as I walked through the front door I felt at home. Spotlessly clean... more

We had a fantastic stay at Cedar Lodge, which was the highlight of our south east Ireland trip. The welcome of the owner Tom was warm and friendly, as we expected from our visits to the emerald isle. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and with all the great facilities you would expect. The hotel is also in a great... more

Hi, was travelling to New Ross on business, but hadn't booked anywhere, tried the Ferrycarrig Hotel but it was full, so drove on hoping to find somewhere decent and without paying over the top. Came across the Cedar Lodge, drove in, it looked ok,not busy was quoted €78.00 Euro for B & B, The room was like stepping back in... more

Nice rooms, nice new bar, would have liked to see a modern tv with working channels though. House wine at 6.50 is a bit steep, breakfast at 15 euro for what you get is just criminal. The owner is also painfully opinionated and one of those people that asks a question and does not let you answer it. Any attempt... more

Stayed here the last night of our holiday in Ireland before catching the ferry in Rosslare (20 minute drive away). A warm Irish welcome from the owner. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we had to miss it because we had an early ferry.... more

This was the hotel that we had selected to stay at for the first night of our two week touring holiday, before moving on to Killarney. The Cedar Lodge proved to be the perfect choice. It is spacious, clean and beautifully furnished with super friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant proved to be a delight, with excellent service and food... more

Having really enjoyed our brief stay in April we booked again for one night before catching an early morning ferry from Rosslare. It was just as good - a real haven where you can relax and unwind. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean room - lovely meal. And a very friendly welcome. Quiet and peaceful too despite being on the main... more

Our brief stay in the Cedar Lodge was indeed a refershing experience for me and my husband- what with the comfort and peaceful quite the lodge offers, with its food and overall services being just as impeccable. We were deeply privilaged to have enjoyed daily the very warm services of the Lodge's man-at-the helm Mr Tom Martin and his staff... more

from Idaho, USA This was our first trip to Ireland, looking a bit for family roots. We had such a nice stay, and especially for the plethora of information that the owner gave to us. He suggested places of interest, and gave us a great deal of history and information that was so useful to make our trip a memorable... more

I have quite mixed feelings about my stay in Cedar Lodge: the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, yet there was no mattress cover on the mattress, just a sheet. The bedroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was no better than you would get in any "caff", but cost almost Euro15. I didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, having been unimpressed... more
