We are a family of four who wanted an active week of moderate cycling with our 11 year old son and 7 year old daughter before having a week by a pool further south in August 2011. Velo Vercors proved an excellent choice. Roger and Teresa are really excellent hosts that find out what you want to do, get you... More

This is the first time we have taken bikes to a fixed place on the continent (I have toured and camped completly independently before) so we thought it would be worth the little extra to book with Velo Vercors and have the taxi from the TGV station booked for us and the back-up of a cycle workshop and Roger and... I had a simply fantastic five days with Roger and Teresa at Velo Vercors in September this year. I'm a relative cycling novice, this was my first experience of cycling outside the UK, and I was travelling alone. So it was a trip into the unknown for me, but Roger and Teresa were such excellent hosts that I left feeling... More

Roger and Teresa played the impeccable hosts to our incredible alpine experience. Their rustic gites and kind hospitality provided the perfect foundations for our first adventure into the Vercors region and its labyrinth of smooth, quiet and spectacular roads - a true cyclist's utopia. Roger's vast knowledge of the area, wealth of experience and infectious passion made him an unparalleled... More

Fantastic vacation. Cycling is incredible with new and picturesque routes every day. Food is wonderful, whether from the kitchen of Roger and Theresa, or from the local village. After a day of cycling you return to a quiet, relaxing gite, where you can enjoy wine and cheese on your deck.We rode a different mountain peak every day and were never... More

This was my first visit to this area of France for a cycling holiday. The roads are excellent, smooth with minimum traffic. Roger has a extensive map portfolio to make getting to know this area a breeze.Teresa and he are hosts par excellence. My booking included meals. The welcoming dinner set the tone, making meeting other guests easy. St Jean... More

We are experienced California cyclists who have toured many places, but none have been as rich as VeloVercors. If you can manage a stay there, do it! Just be sure leave a week open for us, OK? Teresa is as sweet as Roger is genial; we felt like old friends before a single day was up. We had some special... More

We've spent two separate weeks at Velo Vercors this year (once with friends and their 2 pre-teen cycling nutty lads, once as a couple) and both have been absolutely fantastic. The area is a lovely place to be. The cycling routes are varied and really beautiful and there's good hiking too. Super places to eat and drink en-route and St... More

My husband is an avid reader of the Sunday Times Travel Section in which Velo Vercors was highly rated; so, as we were looking to do something in the mountains in the summer, we decided to give it a go. We are a relatively active family of four, with two teenage boys aged 13 & 14, but certainly not experienced... More

This was our first family activity holiday, apart from skiing, and will not be our last. We are middle-aged, moderately fit with 3 children aged 6 10 and 13. All of us loved it - the gites are delightful, St Jean has everything you need for a relaxing time, and the lovely village pool is a few minutes walk away.... More
