This is a small ( 6 bedroom) hotel in the village of Kennford which is about 8 miles from Dawlish. Driving from the Northwest is easy. M6, change to M5, and the hotel is at the end of M5. Although there is a very busy road about 50 yds away, all the rooms are triple insulated, so there is no noise. The rooms are fully modernized and very tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are new and spotlessly clean, well stocked with toiletries and fluffy white towels. Digital TV in rooms, plenty of wardrobe space with hangars The dining room is pleasant and the food is excellent, cooked by the owner, Maria and served by William, who incidentally are very helpful hosts. There is a small bar and lounge.The hotel is all non smoking.The village has pleasant surrounding walks and 3 village pubs which all serve food.
All in all we had a lovely break in a friendly hotel which I would have been proud to own myself. Well recommended.
