Absolutely fantastic weekend! Smugglers is warm and welcoming. We had a really spacious room with private garden/patio. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed. Great night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent. We especially loved the sausage pudding. Wonderful!

We had an amazing evening meal, we'd each rated our individual choices as 9 out of 10 (no idea why we didn't say 10 out of 10!!) Very friendly staff, from the owners to the dinner and breakfast staff. Great room, very clean. Excellent choice of breakfast....hubby had full English, I loved the continental If we didn't live in Australia then we would return again!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room was large, extremely comfortable and had amazing views. There was even a pair of binoculars by the window to get a better look at the Bay of Penzance and the fishing harbor just in front of the hotel. Book early & often, and make a reservation for dinner in their attached restaurant. The menu is local fish (straight from the sea in front and melt-in-your-mouth delicious). Breakfast was excellent - full English or continental was included.

What a find. Accommodation great with all rooms having their own character. The hosts and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was a delight with alot of choices. Dinner is fantastic the first time I've felt full on fish. The seafood grill is wow. The view from the dining room is the Newlyn working harbour. The 64 dollar question would I go again? Without any doubt YES!

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and can honestly say it’s one of our favourite hotels we have ever stayed in. We had the ‘Harbour Watch’ room, which was just beautifully decorated and comfortable. This room has a view right onto the harbour and over the bay, meaning we got to relax and watch the boats (and the little seal that comes right in to feed!) which, with a cup of tea, is just a lovely way to end a long day. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, couldn’t fault it at all - so many options and vegetarians were well catered for too. The location is perfect, just a short 5 minute walk to some bars and restaurants in the centre of town and only about a 20 minute walk along the sea to Penzance centre. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, friendly and gave us so many tips and ideas that made our trip unforgettable. Would absolutely recommend and we will certainly be back!…

We ate here on the first night of our holiday as we were staying in walking distance. Loved everything about it, Covid secure, clean, friendly, beautiful table linen and of course the food was divine. Loved the fact that although the food was presented so beautifully on the plate the portions were a really good size. Lots of great fresh local fish on the menu but husband had a beautiful pork dish so great if you're not a fishy person. It was so good we returned again before we went home. The staff were so friendly, we can't wait to go back.

Great little B&B which also serves fantastic evening meals too (recommend that you book in for one night). The room we stayed n (harbour view) was perfectly spacious and had a great en suite too. The couple who run the b&b are helpful and Covid precautions are sensible.

We lodged here for 5 nights and stayed in Harvey. The building itself is situated right in front of the harbour which offered beautiful views at breakfast all the way across to St Michael's Mount. No view from the room which is located at the back of the building but that didn't matter. I was impressed by the measures taken in light of COVID 19. There were hand sanitisers in all public areas as well as the room, the hosts always wore face masks and room cleaning was kept to a minimum to avoid time spent in the room. Check-in was smooth and easy. We pulled up right outside the front door to unload luggage and was greeted by Stephen. He talked us through COVID 19 measures and directed us to the room. He also provided a parking permit for the harbour car park which is about a minute's walk away. A reduced cost of £3.50 per day is charged for parking which is reasonable. The room itself was a delight. Spacious, with a high ceiling and rustic beams, it felt welcoming and homely. There was ample wardrobe space and hangers and most importantly, the room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a cubicle shower which was fine for us and had the usual complimentary toiletries. Amenities in the room included iron/ironing board, hair dryer, tea/coffee, kettle and biscuits - perfect. There were plenty of plug sockets too. I'm used to taking an extension lead with us when we travel abroad (camera, tablet, phones etc) but didn't need it here. There was also an outside seating area for the room which we never used (why, when Cornwall is on your door step?). Breakfast was good. There was a decent selection to choose from and I tried everything during our stay. No complaints with any of it. The location was spot on. From here we travelled to St Ives, Sennen, Porthcurno - all about a 20 minute drive. Penzance is just a stone's throw away. Kynance Cove and was a bit further at around a 50 minute drive. A special shout out to Stephen who offered useful knowledge on areas to visit (thanks for recommending Gwithian Beach!) as well as parking and driving routes. Not to miss out Sarah who greeted us at breakfast time and was a pleasure to talk to. Overall, the B&B was well presented throughout. I would thoroughly recommend The Smugglers and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.…

After our tent collapsed in heavy rain and wind (it was 20 years old and had been well used), we were lucky to find space at the Smugglers. My husband and I along with my guide dog Pepsi were given a very warm welcome. Our room was lovely and we even had our lown patio with chairs and a table. The breakfast was excellent - so much to choose from and beautifully cooked. Thank you to Steve, Barbara and Sarah for making sure we had a lovely time in Cornwall. Will will certainly be returning.
