I stayed here for one night after checking out an even worse hostel at the Zocalo. Was not impressed with Hostal del Pirata... Location is awful. Literally nothing around. It is not far from city center or the sea, but even those dont really count as things to do because theyre not very interesting. I should not bash the city... More

Good location, cheap bed with small breakfast included. No mixed dorm, if a girl wants to sleep in a male dorm it's ok. Sheets included, bathroom ok. The problem is that everything beside sleeping and breakfast is charged extra: water to refill your bottle, computers and even if you want to leave your bag for few hours! (it can be... More

You can judge from my previous reviews, I try to be fair and generally positive. However, I should have paid closer attention to the other reviews. Don't make the same mistake. Yes, the private double is small, barely bigger than the bed but I got that from the reviews. However, the room was hot at all times of day, the... More

The double rooms are clean, but really too small. We saw people keeping their luggage outside, because it wouldn't fit in the room! Breakfast was about as plain as it gets. The worst thing though was the staff. They seemed to be absent minded the whole time. The morning we wanted to leave to the ADO bus terminal it was... More

We stayed in a double room and it was quite small but clean, with two fans and a little sofa. The dorms were spacious with lockers for use. The hostel is pretty chilled with lovely staff - really really helpful, for example after ringing our taxi for us Octavio waited outside until they came to double check the price they... More

The room was tiny but clean and comfy, you find space for your stuff. Staff really nice and helpful. There are two rooftops to chill out on and the highest one has a kitchen and tables. We really enjoyed staying here.

We stayed here for the social aspect which was good, nice communal area, they have wifi too. Breakfast is cereal, bread, coffee and fruit, its fine. We stayed in a private room w bathroom for 290 pesos, it was very cramped and quite hot. I've stayed in better rooms for the same price elsewhere in Mexico. The dorms looked like... More

Lovely hostel. We chose a room with a bathroom, room was clean and bathroom was separated. Room was a bit crammed and small but pleasant. The hostel is at the centre andnshortnwalk from everywhere. Breakfast quite good and staff really helpful and pleasant.

We stayed here recently having checked out of the Monkey Hostel (see my review, don't stay there). We were shown rooms with and without bathroom. The one with did not actually have a seperate bathroom but was partitioned off so we opted for the room without. There was no one else staying there anyway (due to low season in Campeche... More

I stayed in hostels across Mexico while traveling with friends, and this was one of the best. After some of the hostels in Oaxaca and Chiapas, it felt like a luxury hotel. It was so clean and quiet, and it had modern metal-tubing bunk beds with fans on each bed (in our six-person room). They even let us in when... More
