We stayed at Hotel Castlemar for two nights in May 2013. Lovely hotel in a great location. Comfortable, clean and quiet with good shower, air-con and wifi connection. Breakfast available but not included.

Located two blocks off the malecon in the historic district I had the perfect location for my week long fishing expedition. The staff were friendly and the historic ambiance of the renovated barracks were a plus up from the average digs. A great value to boot. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, colonial, stylishly designed, great historical feel. Very good location right at the "Puerta del Mar" inside the old city, out of busy streets. It is about 5 minutes walk to the main square/cathedral. They provide "europian breakfast" for 60 pesos.
