Stayed overnight for this visit while I sorted out my boat for the summer. The Moonfleet boatyard had seriously hacked me off, so I was in a bad mood when I arrived here. But it simply doesn't change. So warm so friendly. Food fabulous as always and what a menu choice! As for the room, it was warm, cosy and... More

Seagull Cottage Sea Pallin recommended but had also researched on internet before our holiday. Took a little bit of finidng thank goodness we did not give up. Visited twice both at lunch time. Excellent food served by very friendly staff and a very humerous chef - good menu worth every penny.

The Star was recommended by East Ruston cottages as being excellent and dog friendly. We have three dogs inclduing a very large Deerhound. Having called prior to book for Sun day lunch ( 24/2 ) and having advised Sue of our dogs we were allocated a very suitable table where the big guy could stretch out. Other diners stepped over... Love this place, dog friendly, the staff are really lovely ,great choice of ales. Easily the best pub in Norfolk. The food is amazing too, well presented and really tasty. I always try to come here when I can, which is quite often lol.

The staff are very friendly and the food is extremely good, very well presented and delicious. It was so nice to be able to take our dog Rosie inside and to be made to feel so welcome. I too wish it was my local.

We came here for dinner when we were staying nearby for a wedding. Great food, big portions. Staff were really friendly and it had a great 'local' feel, whilst being extremely welcoming. We would definitely come back, just wish it was our local!

Recommended to us by Rookery Barn Ingham. Were welcomed as locals by everyone, staff and customers alike. Felt right at home with the warm atmosphere. The log fire was lovely, the beer was excellent and the food was beyond compare. Fabulously cooked and presented in a cosy little room off from the main bar. Have been back many times and... More

We visit The Star Inn at least once a year for a weekend and it really is our little part of heaven. The rooms are gorgeous and Sue always puts us up in the Hurcules room. A beautiful Double room decorated in red and the most goreous solid beams. It is not a massive room but the bed is soooo... More
