Have just returned from a week long break at griffon forest, we stayed in number 27, we stayed there last year and enjoyed its private position so decided to book the same lodge again. This was our 6th visit to the forest. I was pleased to see some changes had been implemented since our last visit, namely a non stick... More

Just had a heavenly week at Griffon Forest Lodge. What bliss a lovely log cabin set in woodlands, Badgers, rabbits and other creatures everywhere and a Hot Tub. The lodge was beautifully clean with a comfy bed and fluffy towels. Need I say more, well maybe, you also get 10% off everything at Tykes Restaurant which is well worth a... More

A few weeks before xmas i spent a lovely weekend with my fiance in lodge 35, this is the most private lodge in regards to been in the hot tub, your completely surrounded by trees and wildlife. Each morning a cheeky squirel would come to our kitchen window for some breakfast, he even sat on the decking while we were... More

My partner, myself and two small dogs rented the Gardeners lodge (no 27) between the 29th April - 3rd May 2013, and it was fantastic. A colleague at work had recommended the lodges (she visits every year) and it far surpassed our expectations. At reception the girls were very welcoming and Fresh flowers, chocolates and fizzy wine were all in... More

Our 2nd visit to griffon forest! Never fails to impress, lovely clean well equipped lodge in a gorgeous setting. Hot tub, 4 poster bed and all the little complimentary extras where the highlight. Would recommend booking tykes in advance as couldn't get a table this time but ordered a takeaway from jinnahs instead and it was lush! Have booked up... More

My family recently stayed at Griffon Forest for the third time. Again we had an excellent stay in a beautiful lodge. The lodges are located within the forest & are spaced far enough apart to keep your own privacy. Every lodge has its own hot tub all ready to use as soon as you check in. Griffon Forest is situated... More

Stayed for the wb Saturday 27th April. We had the Keepers Cottage (no 49) and have to say (apart from a few niggles) that our week was brilliant! The cottage was spotless and had an olde worlde feel. There was a lot of information concerning the forest itself and days out (recommend Helmsley). We were also very lucky with the... More

Myself and my partner stayed here 3-6 May. I can't honestly say it was perfect. We arrived late and as agreed our keys were left at our lodge (poachers 11), it was bliss to arrive and all we could hear was the birds. Complimentary champagne, flowers and biscuits a lovely touch. Kitchen was well stocked, Jacuzzi bath and hot tub... More

13 of us stayed at Griffon Forest from the 26th -29th April for a girlie weekend away. Non of us wanted to leave, it was pure heaven! 20 min drive into York for some lunch and lovely drinks to head back to the hot tub and have some giggles. It was possibly the best weekend I have ever had. The... More
