My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful dream weekend. The atomsphere at the red lion is wonderful you are not treated as guests, you are part of the community. The Beer is really good and very well kept with a good selection. If you require other beverages the selection is very good for all tastes. Having a real... More

Warm welcome, lovely log fire, traditional pub with good beer. Room was in excellent condition with nice decor, good shower. Situated off the main road so very quiet. Food was tasty especially the rice pudding! Don't hesitate to stay! More

We stayed in the Red Lion over the first weekend in November, Blewbury is a quiet village, very pretty, great for walking and taking it easy. The pub has a great atmosphere of a proper village local and it's landlords are very friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay in a well appointed and modern room with very large... More

I stayed at the Red Lion recently, and was met with a warm welcome. The room was tastefully decorated, and spacious. Having changed out of my work clothes I went down to the bar, and enjoyed a good pint of real ale sat by the log fire and a friendly conversation with the landlord. Just what I needed on a... More

My daughter and SIL were house hunting in blewbury so we thought we would pop into the Red Lion for a bite to eat between viewings. The pub was busy but the landlord welcomed us like returning regulars, even though we had never been there before, and instantly made us feel very welcome. There was plenty of food on offer;... More

We chose this place to stay after reading other reviews and were not disappointed. The old world charm adds to the spotlessly clean rooms and good sized garden at the rear. The hosts had only recently taken over the pub and are already doing a good job. Their friendly manner and impressive attitude to please and help their guests is... More

I stayed at this quaint pub with my husband and daughter whilst visiting family in Didcot. The landlord and landlady were exceptionally friendly and out to impress. My husband is partially sighted and they immediatey recognised this and were very helpful. They informed us that the pub was currently undergoing refurbishment as they had only been there for 14 weeks,... More
