We stayed for the week, wonderful breakfasts cooked by Rona who was able to cope with gluten free and soya needs. Very comfortable and warm accommodation. Rona could not be more helpful. The location is great, walks from the farm or ideal position to access the south and north peaks. Wonderful scenery to be found along the back roads to... More

We came with our three year old and one year old boys who enjoyed being able to get close to the farm animals. Rona kindly showed us around the farm yard and was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the farm had a homely feel. The room was very nice and Rona had clearly thoughts of lots of things... More

The scenery from Cook Hill Cottage is just stunning. Hard to believe it's Cheshire! The cottage is like a Tardis...........spacious yet cosy. Great for entertaining with a very well equiped kitchen to cope with large family gatherings. The walks from the door are wonderful and varied. Jump in the car and only a short distance away many more things to do... More

This is an excellent little find, from the moment we walked in and were greeted by Rona we were made to feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. But be prepared as the approach from the main road is quite a long and bumpy one We were in room 1 and it was very clean and comfortable, although... More

This is is a very nice, homely place to stay. Stayed in room 3. Underfloor heating made room very warm and window needed to be open- heating takes ages to cool down when turned off, but once it did we only needed additional heat from bathroom radiator. Comfortable guest lounge with large tv and pc for guest use. Free wifi.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay whilst visiting relatives in Rainow. Our room was very clean and comfortable, couldn't ask for more. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a superb breakfast the following morning. All in all a great little find.

We had an excellent new year stay at one of their cottages which is about half a mile away from the B&B. http://www.cottages-with-a-view.co.uk/cook-hill-cottage/ Everything is a very high standard from the solid furniture to the under floor heating and power showers. Plenty of room and the split level living room works well. About 35 min walk from the nearest pub... More

Our small group could not ask for more in the way of kind hospitality. This was more than B&B because Rona was a fund of local knowledge - historical and geographical. And nothing seemed too much trouble for her.

Want to get away from it all. This is the place. The whole Common Barn Farm B&B was once a barn and it has been converted in to the most welcoming and comfortable rooms you could hope to find. It is the type of place that you wake up at farm hours and wander around among the sheep, cows, ducks,... More

Lovely location off the beaten track but not too far from towns, shops and places to eat. A friendly welcome and a very warm and comfortable family room was much appreciated. The breakfast was ample and tasty. Overall, a great place to stay if you want a traditional English B and B experience.
