Wonderful croft cottage lived upto expectations for a wet new year stay. Loads of gams for the kids and a wii, underfloor heating, clean, good layout and comfortable furnishings. Would love to come back in spring and see the lambing. Thanks for a great stay More

Doing a UK road trip in june, that was our first stop. It's a good location to visit peak district. Room was simple and clean, nothing extravagant but that's exactly what we were looking for. The host Rona is really nice and helpfull and we enjoyed her lovelly breakfast. More

We needed a place to stay as we were attending a wedding and the hotel nearest the venue was fully booked so we found Common Barn Farm on the internet. It would be great place to stay for longer than the 1 night we had - beautiful location, nice rooms with underfloor heating (very necessary at times I'm sure!) and... More

We stayed at the Common Barn Farm in September 2011 in a B & B room. We spent nice holidays there. The farm and rooms were very lovely equipped. We had everything we needed. Rona, who's the owner of the farm, together with her man, is a very nice, caring and warmhearted woman. She helped us a lot, gave us... More

My family and I just stayed for one night, although wish it could have been for longer. A lovely place, great location, clean, friendly and the views from all aspects of this lovely farm are breathtaking. Quite possibly the best breakfast in the UK! More

Stayed in one of the self catering cottages on the farm which sleep six. lovely sizes bedrooms, with very comfortable beds. Walls thick so the children did not wake us or my mother in th morning! There were lots of little extras in the cottage, 1/2 doz eggs and a bottle of wine as well as toiletries. Also books to... More

I actually stayed at Common Barn August 2010. The room was excellent, beds comfortable, showers strong and hot...The breakfast was a feast, freshly cooked to order and Mrs Greengrass made a special effort to meet the Gluten Free diet of my daughter. She was a great source of information about the surrounding district and guided us to one of the... More

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our tour through the UK. We wanted a location near the peak district and Lyme Park. We also wanted something rural, away from the hustle and bustle of cities. Oh boy, did this place deliver. We had the largest room from all the B&b's we've stayed at for a very... More

The location was brilliant and it is a beautiful farm building on a working farm so you feel very away from it all! Unfortunately the room wasn't quite as nice. Dusty, carpet was a little dirty, hairs in the sink and the bath and possibly the dirtiest kettle I have ever seen. Breakfast was also disappointing, we had items we... More
