Arrived a lot later than we said we would. We were tired muddy and wet from the Cotswold Way. A lovely pint of ale awaited. The rooms were comfortable and dinner was good rustic pub food although my mate's spaghetti bolognese was a bit below par. Good night's sleep. Breakfast not very good. A decent griddle pan and some tasty... More

12 of us walking the Cotswold Way. 7 stayed here, 5 up the road, but we all ate here. The new Landlord and his wife were extremely friendly, very helpful, and bent over backwards to make us welcomed. They even tumbledried washing, allowed us to watch Downton whilst eating, and had the chef in specially for us (we'd booked in... More

Can't say enough about how good the service was, over and above what was expected. The land lord is as friendly as could be and couldn't do enough to make us welcome and help us , even though we was soaked and covered in mud.room was great and so was breakfast. We ate in the bar on the evening and... More

On the Cotswold Way, this is a perfect resting point. We were a family with a seven year old and a seventy-something year old. We only stayed one night, but the bed was comfy, the showers were hot, and the food good. They carry real ales and quality food. Landlords were very friendly and went out of their way to... More

Myself and my partner heard of this place through relations and friends and decided to go and try it out. It is a small unassuming Inn from the outside but when you enter you are greeted with a friendly hello from the staff and asked how they can help. We ordered our drinks and sat for a while perusing the... More

We stopped here for a drink and a bite to eat after walking up to a local monument - would definitely recommend it. Our boots and shoes were filthy, but there are enough flagstones to walk on without having to fight to get them off; the pub is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff. As it was 13.50pm when we...
