Visiting Imire was by far one of the highlights of my month long visit to Southern Africa! The accommodations are wonderful - enchanting little cottages covered in thatch set around a lovely garden. The beautiful garden is the setting for breakfast and tea, and it is filled with tall shade trees where monkeys were playing! We are vegetarians and they... More

We had a day trip to Imire Game Park in December 2012 ( this was our 3rd visit ) to Imire. Our previous experiences were great and well organised. We saw a fair amount of wild life and had taken visitors from the USA & UK. But this trip has spoilt Imire for us for good. We had guests from... More

I can't praise this place enough! The package we chose had an arrival time of 09:30 when coffee was served. By 10:00 we were seated on top of our safari vehicle and toured the reserve for over 3 hours seeing black and white rhino, giraffe, zebra, hyena, elephants and too many different buck, bock, antelope etc to remember the names.... What a brilliant wildlife experience only 90 minutes out of Harare - totally recommend it to anyone travelling or living around Harare. Kate, the Travers family and all the guides (particularly Enway) go out of their way to make your stay an unforgettable one. The accommodation is fabulous and the meals are great. Being able to get so close to... More

While in Zimbabwe we decided to visit Imire Safari Lodge on the recommendation of some friends. We went with moderate expectations but were truly amazed and humbled by the experience. Our guide - Enway - did an amazing job. He was informative, humorous, and insightful, and provided us with an incredible experience. The opportunity to hand-feed rhino, and hug an elephant... More

Very nice place located about 2 hours by car from Harare. Unfortunately there is not transport to the place. We were a group of 6 people and we could hire a car. Kind of expensive if you are not in a big company, another alternative could be to hire a car. The lodge consists in different rustics rooms. Big garden... More

What a fabulous (and meaningful) experience! Certainly very up close & personal with all the animals - zebras, giraffes, the magestic eles (Dad, Mum, baby & Uncle), impalas, rhinos (black & white), sable...the list is endless. This was a perfect initiation into Zim! Huts were beatifully decorated & spacious, the bed absolute heaven, staff very friendly and knowledgable, hosts welcoming.... More

My family and I spent a wonderful 24 hours at Imire. We arrived for afternoon tea on the lawn and were met by very welcoming staff. It was very busy, they had been hosting 40 people for a day visit. The crowd left after about an hour and we were the only remaining guests for the night. The sleeping accomodation... More

We went to Imire with our 1 year old daughter and we had a fantastic time - it was mid July so it was cold but the day was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the effort, about an hour outside Harare, a little difficult to find (but we were with someone who had been before), but we saw elephant and...
