Friesach is one of the best little towns to visit in Austria. And the place to stay is the Metnitztalerhof, right in downtown, at the eastern end of the market place, and right underneath the castle. The bus can easily park in front of it for unloading. The welcome by the proprietor was very nice, and he treated us royally....
