Stay there for two nights. When checkin at the ferry terminal, no welcome drinks provided which suppose to have accordingly to my friend's experience before. After reaching the resort, staff will provide you a brief introduction regarding the facilities, F&B........... and of course escort to your room, luggage is behind and send by other staff. Originally I booked Mangrove, but... More

Thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor, we truly appreciate feedback which will help us improve. As I have often explained to my staff whenever we fail it is due to lack of communication. This is an area I constantly look for us to be better at. We hope to see you back again some day. Tomas More

My Girl Friend I stayed only one night during mid May.Reception at Jesseton Point was nice generally speaking. staff was nice the only trouble was that we were asked to show booking detail from agent, which I have to unpack my ipad in my suitcase. Warm welcome and introduction to the resort was given by reception on the island. But we... More

The best place I have ever stayed! Amazing setting on stilts looking out to sea and accommodation and service to match. Added bonus to have access to the sister resort Bunga Raya, situated in the next cove back in the jungle. The Eco message is well portrayed, but is not rammed down your throat. We planted new coral and got... More

We stayed here at the end of our trip and found it more or less perfect. It was quite quiet, but the service was great and very professional. Food and facilities all very nice. As noted by others, there can be a little bit of detritus floating on the water near the rooms, but nothing too awful. The massage treatments... More

We stayed at the villa in May 2013. I would say that the management does every effort to make the resort a 5 Star "Maldive look" but there are some things that you have to consider going there. The water is very dirty due to the winds blowing in this region specially in winter time November - March. As we've... More

Remote yet the overall quality and details for the money charged seems a bit out. The facility is outdated though the staffs work very hard to keep us a memorable stays. No beach and water is somehow not as crystal as other private islands nearby. On certain hours, there are lot of flooding rubbish surrounding the sea of resorts. They... More

We visited Gayana Eco Resort for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. Our travel agent had pre-arranged (and we had pre-paid) for transfers to and from the resort. Having flown into KK from Sandakan on the day we were due at Gayana, we were met at the airport by 2 sets of people both wielding name boards with our... More

Thank you for your review of your stay, I am pleased it was a positive experience by large. I shall look into the transfer debacle, as you said, completely unnecessary! I shall not hide the fact that not all my staff speak fluent English. This can from time to time result in a communication failure. We use feedback such as... More

If you really want a different hotel experience, Gayana Eco Resort will provide it. You can stay in wooden chalets which are built right over the (in restoration) coral reef. Choose to have breakfast (delivered by boat) on your private deck and you can share it with the myriad colored coral fish that swim in shoals under your feet. A... More

Me and my husband stayed at the resort for 3 days, and during this time we went snorkeling, scuba diving, took a tour of the MERC facility and adopted a coral, and visited the sister resort Bunga Raya. We have been lucky to travel a lot over the last few years, we picked Gayana for our honeymoon after a wonderful week in koh samui getting married. Thank you for your comments, we appreciate feedback good or bad. I too, am really sorry that we had to close the pool. This was not something we had planned for, hence the lack of notice given, but on the flipside, I am happy you enjoyed your upgrade to our Palm Villa. Floating debris is a terrible problem, thankfully we... More
