Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in 3 bedroom apartment as a timeshare exchange. We were asked in advance if we would prefer a high, middle or ground floor flat and opted for high -we were given ground. This would not have been a problem if we had not had our expectations raised! The apartment was well equipped including a jetted bath, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. There was a lot to do on the complex, including heated indoor pools, ping pong, shuffleboard, boules and a small playground. There is direct beach access and plentiful free parking.
The on-site bar was expensive, but there were other bars and restaurants within a reasonable walk.
The younger adults would have liked some activities (other than bars) to walk to in the evening - but there may be more in the area when it is not off season.
Our only real gripe was noise from neighbouring apartments, which has been mentioned in other reviews.

Really nice hotel/apartment where we stayed one night in november, it was 105 m2 so it was large enough with two bathrooms one with shower and one with jacuzzi. Beds were great so no complains, however the pool was not heated so we could not us it (to cold).
The market had all the needs but high in price. Breakfast was brilliant and we paid 210€ with two breakfast included so we had to pay for our friends. Happy hour between 5-7 p.m.

This complex has everything you could ask for, stunning rooms which are very well equipped with all mods cons, nice and spacious rooms. Outside grounds are well kept with several swimming pools, one solely for adults only for some quite time!
Chill bar served a good selection for lunch or just a cake if that’s all you want, daily lunch deals available. All staff friendly and attentive.

This place will provide you with a holiday from hell - and make you pay for it. We stayed for one week in October 2021 and our room was cleaned only once! Sheets on the beds were never changed, bins were emptied only once (despite the room having a kitchen where we cooked meals) and it was hard to get clean towels. If you call reception to ask about cleaning, they get angry and grudgingly send new towels. If they know you are leaving soon, the service will worsen and they will hang up on you if you call for towels. Late checkouts are not given. So we booked a room for an extra night just so we can checkout late. Our flight was at 8:30 pm and we wanted to checkout at 5pm. The hotel would then have the room to rebook for the night if needed . A rude, ignorant and uneducated woman at reception insisted we could not stay in our existing room for the extra few hours, because we must not have a two bedroom unit for the few hours. She made us haul three suitcases, and carry our autistic daughter and deaf son down several flights of stairs to a far away unit, just for a few hours. If you know anything about autism, you will know that forcing this change on us meant my daughter had several meltdowns. The resort is built on a hill and there are hundreds of steps and ramps. They do not provide any help to carry cases to your rooms, or even a trolley which you can use. If you have a family with children, this will be your holiday from HELL!

Although we visited the resort in the midst of some refurbishment work it did little to distract us from what a great resort this is. Work was going on in the gardens, to both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as some of the apartment blocks being redecorated. From start to finish we had a very enjoyable holiday. The apartment which we had was spacious and well fitted out - we had everything that we needed there. We had a two bedroomed apartment so there was lots of room for the two of us. The resort had a good gym, sauna/steam rooms an a variety of pools. The staff were always very polite, respectful and accommodating. Having gone in the middle of January the resort was quiet. The only children there were those below school age. There was secure access to the beach and there were a number of sun beds and shade provided there too. Some great sunset views in the evening. The restaurants were closed so cannot comment about those. Although there was a shop on site which would provide you with a reasonable selection of food and drinks it was more expensive than the local supermarkets - but none the less a convenience.

Room Tip: A room on a higher floor may be quieter in peak season and also offer some great views over the sea.

Not sure why we have never reviewed this resort as we have stayed many many times.
It is an amazing resort, right on the beach and located within walking distance of plenty of beach bars and restaurants... The resort itself is of course literally On the beach, which is brilliant.
The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, pool tables, lots of outdoor games, a mini market, a couple of restaurants and a pool bar.
Food is great and the service is always very good. We just have to remember that we are in Spain, so what's the rush. There is a pace, not just in this resort, but across many bars and restaurants, where you do find yourself asking yourself "I wonder if they have forgotten about us"
The grounds of the resort are absolutely spotless and maintained to an incredible standard.
The resort is also a 5 minute taxi ride to Elviria, where there are multiple bars and restaurants, including The Playwright, Masala Indian restaurant, to mention just two of our most popular spots. There is also a larger supermarket there, which has a super selection of food and drinks.
This is our go to resort in Spain and we look forward to many more amazing stays in the years to come 😎

We were the first tourists visiting after corona. We felt really welcome. Everything was very clean and the hygiëne was good. The pool , reception and fitnessstaff made us feel VERY welcome! The sanitized al the beds at rhe oool every time and there are 2 shifts during the day to visit the pool. And in between everything gets sanitized. The cocktailshaker was a funny guy✌🏻
Also the gym has a max capacity and limited opening hours and is cleaned after every person (although I think you should also do this yourself!)

From our balcony we saw the housekeeping meetings outside. Really smart and respectful👌🏻

We will come back and hope all the services will work well again. For now we wish all the staff good health and a nice summer.

For us this hotel was all about the location. It has its own parking and we were able to stay 3 nights and visit other surrounding areas. We used our Marriott points to stay here.

But, Marriott needs to seriously consider renovating this place. The furnutire is worn out. The shower floor needs a quick makeover. We cannot fault the cleaning staff because you can see that they were cleaning, but there is only so much you can do. They are supposed to do this every 5 years, at least that's what I heard that is done in the US with timeshares. But honestly Marriott, it's time for this one.

The staff was very welcoming, from check in to the breakfast restaurant. Check out is done remotely through an email that you respond to letting them know you are leaving.

Since this stay was in the middle of our two weeks in Spain, we planned to wash all our clothes in the washer and dryer located inside the two bedroom unit we reserved. What a nightmare! Not that they are small, but they take a very long time to wash and to dry. We did one small loads and took over 3 hrs to wash and dry and still we had to hang the clothes to dry. We had to leave the second load for the next day. This took a lot of time away from us being able to go out, so the second day we did it at night. Marriott needs to spend some money in this place.

The breakfast was great. You have a wide selection plus you can order hot items that are done right away and very good. They have a small market where you can buy things to eat in your room.

The parking is righ below your unit. For us it was underground. We saw that there some parking spaces out in the open, but it was a bit far from where our building was.. The only minus is how narrow the spaces are, but this is common in Spain.

We did not use the pools or any of the facilities, but they do have several pools and a lot of things to do.

Not sure if we will return to Marbella, but if we do, we will probably choose another hotel.

Really enjoyed our holiday, apartment fantastic, spacious and had everything you needed. Was very disappointed that no sea view and balcony was sheltered from sun 😢 next time ask for an apartment near to the beach and pools. Room was quite noisy too
Really clean and well maintained grounds
Disappointed that 3 out if 4 restaurant were closed. The only choice for food is the tapas bar nr reception which didn't look appealing. Also they advertise happy hour from 7-10 but they put the prices up from the normal menu to counter act which is very underhand. Beer is 6euro normal but during happy hour is 8euro. So you don't get 1 free, you get only 25%discount. Very underhand
The Chinese woman on the beach offering massages can be a bit intimidating, the hotel need to address this issue.
All in all would go again

We missed our flights and checked in a bit after midnight the next morning. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The guard at the entrance always push the button to let us in before we even get out our room card to swipe for the gate. The market place downstairs is well stock if you want last minutes items to snack on. Overall, it was a pleasant stay as I had experienced with other Marriott's location.

If there’s availability, I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you check in earlier. We got there at 8:30 am last month — after 15 hours of flying — and the lady who checked us in managed to find us an available condo after a few minutes of ‘checking with her supervisor’. The indoor pools were open, doubt the outdoor pools will be but it can’t hurt to ask. As for the concierge, send me a PM so that I can give you a proper email address— hope this info helps

I don’t recall seeing a DVD player. As far as transport, the easiest thing to do is to get a taxi or ride share.
