We've stayed here twice and going back for a third visit. Agree with everything stated above. For a self catering experience there is everything you possibly need. I think the best aspect would be the wonderful walks straight from the farm. Last year we were up at New Year when the snow was full on and was a little tricky... More

We have stayed at The Lodge several times but this time rented both the Gatehouse and the Lodge for an annual family gathering - worked really well as they are close enough to just "pop over" and big enough that you can all eat at either one and then run back to yours when its time to tidy up or... An absolutely idyllic place to get away from it all. Stunning scenery, cosy cottages and a warm welcome from Jenny & Jonny. Everything you could conceivably need catered for in the cottage; especially liked the brand new kitchen, very well equipped. I would say home from home, but to be honest its much nicer than that...! Really peaceful location, but... More

We had a brilliant night staying the in B&B at Alnham. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation is luxurious. I wish my house was as smart as Alnham! A night's stay in the bed and crisp linen is worth the cost alone, not to mention the ideal location, brilliant service and lovely breakfast. We will definitely return... More

We were made most welcome at this peaceful location. The room was excellent as were the breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble. The farm is ideal in that we could walk on the Cheviots without needing the car, and also within easy reach of the coast and most places of interest. More

We spent a very enjoyable week at the Gatehouse cottage. It is extremely quiet and private with lovely views of the Cheviot Hills across the fields. Jenny was so welcoming and even took the trouble to contact us about an item we had left behind and returned it. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with two spacious bedrooms and... More

Wonderfully peaceful, great for walking and cycling. The cottage was very comfortable with a spacious lounge. The kitchen was well equipped but small. It was enough to make good meals, though! Jenny was very hospitable, and there were flowers and chocolate tiffins waiting to greet us. I would definitely go back there. More

Two of us and our horses stayed with Jenny and Johnny - twice! We first stayed for 3 days in September 2010, and we had such a good time we returned in May 2011 for another 4 days. We had a room each in the B&B, and the accommodation, service, friendship and meals were second to none - luxury, comfort... More

We stayed in the B & B as a 2 night get away to the Northumberland National Park. The bedroom and bathroom were both very luxurious with lovely bed linens, bath towels, bath robes and slippers. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed the sitting room and the Sunday papers that Jenny had provided. Breakfasts were fabulous, as well, with fresh... More
