Wnderful little island, couldn't ask for better... Stunning snorkeling and beautiful sunset from the hill top... But... As others has mentioned, not for everybody... Service is terrible, place is not really clean... I personally loved the fact that electricity is limited and to be catapulted back into naturistic style place... But it all could be conserved a bit better...

Agreed exactly with what the last reviewer said-not for everyone, but amazing and recommended. It was particularly hot when we visited, and a fan would have made my night. Snorkeling was great. We ordered food at 6 and asked for it much later - it was limited selection, but good and fresh.

I loved my stay here. I stayed for five nights and would have been okay with another couple. It is as mentioned very rustic. Fairly flimsy bungalows but they have mosquito nets, private shower and mandi. There is no power on the island except for few hours in the evening (roughly 6-10PM) so this is a very much a place... Booking is done through Gardena hotel in Labuan Bajo. You cant really be sure, when they got space for you, because of the fact that people can stay as long as they want. You just have to notice the staff the day before you leave. All the bungalows and tents are located on the beach with a nice view. Its... More

Seraya Island was an idyllic finale to our Flores overland tour and a must for adventurous travellers who enjoy getting away from all of the hustle and bustle – there isn’t too much to do on Seraya, except relax and rejuvenate. We pre-organised direct passage to Seraya after a day-trip to Komodo & Rinca islands, alternatively visitors can organise transport... More

Booked by dropping into the Gardena hotel in Labuan bajo then waited there about an hour for the next boat. There's only a couple of boats a day. Enjoyable 45 min boat ride through a ha-long bay type, mill-pond like coast line. Jaw dropping scene as we rounded the corner to our private island with calm turquoise water and a... More

Wow, a wonderful, laid back place! Food was reasonably priced and good. We met lots of other guests there, it was a very good place to chill and exchange ideas with other guests about travel options. Only suggestion to make it better, take your own snorkel equipment or rent before coming.

Yes the rooms were basic, elec/fresh water between 6-9pm only. It's not a shower it's a bucket to fill. No charge point in room and the lock had broke on our door but we expected a very basic resort. The beach and coral reef on your front door step is what made our stay. The snorkeling equipment was a bit... More

If I were to rate the island this review would be different, but I have to rate the package. As the heading states the staff are terrible down from the manager/owner to the cleaners, when we arrived we wanted a change of bungalows as they had given us a semi detached with walls of paper thin material, we were told... Seraya Island is definitely a magnificient place with its crystal clear waters, coral reef, white beach, awesome sunsets and peaceful atmosphere. The place consist of approx. 20 bungalows (250.000 rp/night) and tents (150.000 rp/night). The very basic bungalows have open air mandis (bathrooms wits toilet seat and a tap) and you have to carry water from the sea to flush... More
