We stayed one night. The hotel is easy to find and is very convenient to Rye. Our room was clean, well-furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had all the amenities. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of local produce. As another reviewer noted, the sausages were exceptional. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We also ate... More

Just stayed at The Bell at Iden (13th April 2013). Had a great stay, the owners and staff were all very friendly as well as the local regulars and the resident dog. We stayed with our dog Daisy who was welcomed into the pub to sit with us during our meal. Had lunch in the pub first, belly of pork... More

We spent two wonderful nights here. The dogs were made very welcome and were no issue. They even got their own breakfast sausage. The room was lovely and spacious. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food and beer was very good too. Rye is only down the road, but we were more than happy to eat at the... More

Great place and wonderful people, couldn't fault it, will definitely be back. Made to feel welcome and at home, good location. Lots to choose from at breakfast. Owners and staff very friendly, even recommended places to eat on first night as their kitchen was closed.

We came for a spur of the moment night away and we had a great time. Food beer and tranquility. The ingredients are locally sourced , imaginatively cooked and well priced. The pub is run by a young team who are working hard to build up their reputation for offering fine food and service in an old pub setting. Recommended.

A lovely big room with plenty of space for my bed and other necessities - I don't travel light. Apparently the dinner on Valentine's night was superb, excellent choice of wines to accompany too. I wouldn't know since I just had dried pellets and water as usual. However they did bring me back a treat from breakfast which was kind,... More

With just two rooms to rent this is the ideal place to get away from it all and relax. The Tack room was tasteful and suited our needs for peace and quiet. The owners could not have done more for us and were a joy to get to know. The food was amazing and the homemade cauliflower and stilton soup... More

The pictures don't do it justice this was a lovely place to stay and near to Hastings and Rye. The landlord went above and beyond to enhance our stay - nothing was too much bother. The room was spacious, peaceful and warm and the tea tray was bursting. Breakfast was lovely and a lovely end to such a restful stay.... More
