Spent one night in this Days Inn and was very disappointed by the quality of the rooms. I expected better quality from a Days Inn and do not think that this hotel was good value for the money. The room was ok, but stunk of febreze and pillows were un comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the availability of juice any time of the day was excellent. We arrived after booking our room over a month in advance, only to find that they had changed their policy regarding pets and would no longer honour our reservation as we were travelling with our two cats. We loved our stay in Days inn Sainte Foy. Rooms were very clean, reception was freindly. Nice breakfast buffet. This and other hotels around have a free shuttle running to downtown very often. When we first entered the hotel, all we could smell was smoke which was an immediate turn-off. When we got to our room, there was "stuff" on the toilet which I had to clean off. We didn't expect much from this hotel. It's just a cheaper way to enjoy Quebec City. That being said though, the room and the entire building for that matter was a little too much on the dingy or sordid side for even just sleeping there. If you think that smoking room is offensive for a non-smoker, try a non-smoking room to this hotel... Everything is rotten, there were no opening windows in the room and the room carpet was never cleaned, and this is valid for any room.
