We were looking for a reasonably priced ($100-$150) room that was clean and safe. That is exactly what we got. The Bow Valley Motel is easy access from Hwy. 1 and extremely clean with standard motel furnishings. Our room had a kitchenette with electric stove, small fridge and small table. more

Location is the only thing this motel had going for it. Stayed on a Saturday night, worst staff I have ever seen at any motel or hotel that I have stayed at and trust me that has been a lot. Okay, maybe this isn't the swankiest place you'll ever stay, but for our needs it was ideal. The surrounding mountains provide a great view, there's a walking path along the river one minute away, and all the charms of downtown Canmore are right there at your doorstep.
