My family and I stayed at Mt. Engadine Lodge in June for 2 nights. We drove on a well-maintained gravel road south of Canmore for about 25 miles. We actually arrived to the Lodge after they had just received 18 inches of snow!! June 18!!! The road had already been plowed! (Most of it melted by the end of our... more

I spent an amazing weekend on March23-25, 2007. The hosts/inkeepers Shari-Lynn & Chris Williams were top notch. The rest of their staff need to be commended as well. The hospitality, food, atmosphere, and accomodations were spectac. The snow was plentiful and lots of snow shoeing was had. The lodge had a very nice comfy at home feeling. Afternoon tea is... more

If you like to spend time in the outdoors and follow it up with a little pampering and some seriously spectacular food, then add Mount Engadine Lodge to your list of must-stay places. My teenage daughter and I spent a winter weekend here in February and it was everything we needed to return home refreshed and relaxed. Our days started... more

Mt. Engadine Lodge is a little slice of heaven for outdoor enthusiasts who want their rustic tinged with just the right amount of luxury. It sits on a forested ledge above a green meadow traversed by the meandering loops of Smuts Creek, which creates a wildlife paradise, including a mud wallow that attracted as many as a dozen moose each... more

My wife and I first came across Mt.Engadine on a visit to Kananaskis the previous year and were immediately stuck by the beauty of the location. We said right there and then we must try it out next time. When we returned in Sept 2005 we were not to be disappointed; the place is ideal! Great accomodation (we booked the... more

Having passed the place many times on previous holidays in the Canadian Rockies, in 2004 we decided to spend a few nights at Mount Engadine Lodge. And what a good decision that turned out to be! As it was early in the season, we were the only guests for the 3 nights we were there, so we had the entire... more

We stayed at Mount Engadine Lodge from August 7-11, 2005. We sandwiched it in between Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise. We cannot wait to come back here next summer. We will only be staying here. It is a very nice set up. The lodge is all by itself and is on a nice meadow with a huge mountain... more

Our Oregon Nordic Club Chapter members have returned to Engadine Lodge & Kananaskis Country for the last 5 years. Engadine Lodge is a best value combination of great skiing, scenery, hospitality, food and lodging in an accessible by car but remote location. X-C ski opportunities include groomed track with skating lanes at Mt. Shark, groomed striding track at Peter Lougheed,... more
