We had such a wonderful time - stayed two nights - one before an arduous hiking trip into the BC back country and the next - R&R from the hike. Michael is a wonderful host. The rooms are luxurious, especially the beds, lovely organic coffee, tea and juice, and vouchers for great breakfast products at local cafes. The Paintbox is... more

Paintbox Lodge is a charming chalet in the heart of downtown Canmore. We just returned from a weeks stay at the lodge and it was a wonderful experience. Michael (the owner) is very informative with local information and a great host. Our Wildness Suite had everything we needed, plus a beautiful view of Three Sisters Mountain. If you are headed... more

My new hubby and I spent the first few days of our honeymoon at the Paintbox - so happy we did. Roaring fire, beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. Easy to walk to all restaurants and shops. Parking. The owner was extremely helpful and recommended some brilliant restaurants such as The Trough and the cafe Communitea for breakfast. Our room was... more

My wife and I stayed at the Paintbox Lodge for 5 nights on our Honeymoon Part 2 (married just 4 months). We could not have been more pleased...it exceeded our expectations in every respect. We stayed in the Wildlife Suite which has 2 separate bedrooms and a living/family area in addition to full bath. It has a genuine, warm, rocky... more

This is a cozy little oasis that has all the modern comforts of a 5 star resort coupled with the simple yet elegant appeal of a secluded cabin in the great outdoors. All our guests feel in love with the place and was overjoyed with the extreme warmth... more

Unfortunately it was a rainy night but we enjoyed the accommodations at the Paintbox and wished we would have stayed 2 nights here. We enjoyed dinner at the... more

My husband and I have just returned from an unforgetable weekend in Canmore, Alberta. We stayed at the Paintbox Lodge, where we were pampered for the entire duration of our stay. The fresh flowers in our suite, champage to sip in our oversized tub, goose-down bed...the list goes on. There is a Spanish tapas restaurant (called Tapas)right on site, where... more

The attached restaurant was cozy, tastey and fun serving Spanish cuisine with a teriffic selection of wines. Great service and attention to detail throughout highlite this... more

Our stay was above and beyond expectation. The room and the main entrance had great personality. It is far different from any other bed and breakfast that I have stayed at. The room was cozy and inviting after a long day of skiing. The staff was more than willing to accomodate all of our needs. After the long day of... more
