The Claddagh House is truly a home away from home for me when I travel to Canada. I do expos and fairs in Kitchener three times a year, and the Claddagh House makes these business trips a pleasure. I have been staying with them since 2004.

The owners, Derek and Margaret Bermingham. bring Irish charm and an Irish welcome to everyone who walks in the door. The house and rooms for guests are immaculate -- there is no other word to describe the order and cleanliness. Chocolates by the pillow, European style duvets and comfortable beds, and Irish breakfasts to die for -- leave the diet at home! I have stayed with the Berminghams for up to a week and breakfast is never the same -- oatmeal pancakes, delicate omeletts, Irish crepes -- and every breakfast starts with fresh fruit and yogurt, always served with all the trimmings and as much coffee or tea as you could wish.
