The only good thing about this hotel was the view - and they can't take credit for that! We paid $140+ for a room with a view (the view being extra) and this did NOT include breakfast. This hotel is used and abused by hockey players - i don't blame the players - i blame management for not modernizing the place and making it an inviting place to stay. Food was terrible, window tint peeling, carpet worn. more
Stayed the weekend, and thoroughly enoyed the stay. Very clean rooms, and a great view from our room! Would stay again, only a 2 hour getaway for us. more
This hotel is literally on the edge of Lake of the Woods. A 10 minute walk to downtown, it's almost next door to Safeway open till 11pm. The pros of the Best Western at Kenora are that it has a great view if you are on lakeside. Also, the restaurant has good views and the breakfast is decent (that's all we had there). We stopped here overnight as part of a very long car trip across Canada. Nice hotel, beautifully located with a nice clean room. Would appear to be an excellent stop for tourist on summer vacation. more
