Run by an elderly couple,he a retired professional photographer,she born and brought up in Scotland,this lovely house has 3 bedrooms en suite available.we stayed in the main king sized bedded room,our hosts were very helpful and the breakfasts were run with military precision and wer4e fantastic everything from Porridge to cerial,fresh orange juice full english breakfast or something lighter if you desired,we had our own key to get in if we were going to be late in,there are a couple of very good restaurants in Bracebridge itsef.
The whole experience was great the autumn colours are unique in the world and can only be seen for about 4 weeks late sept to early october.
Thje pound is so strong that the price of everything is really cheap by our uk standars.
The people of Toronto and upper Ontario are warm and friendly and we would recommend streeters lodge as a great place to stay while you visit the region,it is the end of the season at this time of year and there asome... more
