We considered ourselves "lucky" to have secured a last minute booking at Mulvehill Creek during BC Holiday Weekend. We soon changed our minds. Despite having made it very clear that we were traveling with our children (aged 6 and 2), our reception and treatment during our stay was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. Warning bells began to ring as we passed... more

After Checking in to our small bedroom, I went to the nearby lake to rock-pick. From out of nowhere, 5 barking and snarling Bernese Mtn. Dogs came upon me. "You're in their territory" said the innkeeper's wife, coming behind them with three fishing poles in her hand. I decided to get out of their territory. Having a below-the-knee prosthesis, it... more

It is a beautiful, quiet inn. The place is incredibly clean! However we arrived tired from our travels only to find that we would have to travel 30 minutes back into town for dinner. We read reviews where there was dinner, but none was availble for our stay. The breakfast was good, but not memorable. We had traveled down the... more

The remoteness is a strength of our inn, we are the only quite place in more than 100 miles, away from city noise, highway or railway, on the lakeshore. We tell all our guests the same: When you're early, come and enjoy the facilities and go later to town for dinner (12 miles) or bring your steak for the BBQ....

Located about 30 minutes from Revelstoke resort, this was the ideal property for our group of 5 seasoned powder hounds on our 4-day annual trip. By day we enjoyed the new Revelstoke resort with its massive mountain (5,600 feet of seemingly endless vertical), snowcat and heli skiing, while by night we enjoyed sipping single malt in the game room while... more

A respite from the din and chaos of a fast paced life. Went resort/cat/heli skiing at Revelstoke - a ski hill for skiers - and stayed at Mulvehill which is about 20-30 min away. Found it on the internet after doing an extensive comparative search of all the lodges in the area. Mulvehill is a unique, fantastical, whimsical and very... more

We found this bed and breakfast by chance in one of the guide books, and what a find! It is quite a way outside of Revelstoke so not wonderfully convenient for town but it is the most enchanting situation. Close to the lake in a very quite isolated area. They generate their own electricity, grow fruit and vegetables, have a... more

We stayed at the beginning of our trip through BC and Alberta at the Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn for some days, but we cut down our ambicious itiniary to return rest from the tour. The only really quiet place in hundreds of miles, away from highway and railway or city noise! Cornelia and Rene have made their pensinsula on the... more

My husband and I have been to Mulvehill for three summers. It is an absolutely amazing place: sophisticated yet remote (no phones, no television!) Rene, Conny, and Tobias are excellent and warm hosts. Their place is kept up beautifully and the food served is quite delicious! We have met some incredibly interesting people from all walks of life. I cannot... more
