We booked this spot to celebrate our anniversary. We were very disappointed when we saw the rooms and realized we were paying over 300 dollars for a tiny bedroom with old carpet, a dingy bathroom and no privacy. This was our first visit to Canada and after spending 4 days in busy Vancouver, we were delighted to find this piece of unspoilt paradise! went there for a wedding. the views were spectacular but the room was not clean. Cobwebs on the windows,dog feces on the deck and the fan in the bathroom couldn't be shut off. Hard to sit on the deck and listen to the wind in the trees and couldn't even hear the birds while the noisy fan droned on. Just... More

Our Events Manager appreciatied speaking with you yesterday regarding your valid concerns. We will look forward to hosting you soon for your return stay. “If you had outdoor education, this is the perfect place to stay!”

When we had outdoor education at strathcona, it was a lifetime experience. The guides were friendly and they were great teachers, their explanations were very clear. The food was satisfactory, and I loved the way they incorporated a big bell that would ring for dinner.

“Beautiful Views but Spartan and Expensive”

Very basic accommodation and food and not inexpensive. The Westcoast Wildnerness Lodge on the Sunshine Coast is comparable in price but much better value in terms of accommodation and food, with comparable surroundings, but geared differently to the adventure market that Starathcona focusus on however.

It's unfortunate to hear your experience at SPL wasn't more pleasant. There was beautiful weather for the wedding - 28 degrees C and blue sky.
