After doing some Internet research, I took a chance and stayed for 2 nights at Mariner's Haven in the Sunset Room. The room contained a king-sized bed and a gas fireplace and was very nicely furnished. The bathroom was massive, with a double vanity and very, very large shower.

The setting was perfect. The property sits at the water along the inside passage from Alaska to Vancouver and the cruise ships pass occasionally by the property. The owners have seen whales right there along their shoreline.

There is a large hot tub outside and a big deck for dining or just relaxing. It's a very peaceful spot, outside of Campbell River proper.
