It isn't even close by any standards. Despite the setting (beautiful lake, nice natural surroundings), the service is horrible and the pricy rooms are at best comparable to rooms from chain motels. Beautiful setting, nice lake, ... The village is near the hotel (for food, etc) and about 5 minutes north from Saint Sauveur and 30-40 minutes north of Montréal (depending on traffic and construction on highway 15!). Free parking. We have just returned from a vacation at this hotel. We went there 2 years ago and the service was A-1, but this time it was very poor. Most of the employees spoke neither French nor English. The meals and the service was very bad. We heard that the hotel was close for 1 month to kick the union out... more
