My husband and I have stayed at the Montague Rose twice in the past 2 years (July 2010 and July 2011). We loved it so much the first time that we actually arranged our travel itinerary so that we could stay again the next year. Both years we booked the cozy Jardin Marie room. The second year, when we arrived... More

My husband and decided on a whim to spend the night in St. Andrews while driving back after visiting other beautiful cities in Canada. We were on our way to see friends in Boston. We had a B&B guide and called to see if there was a vacancy. To our delight there was. What an unbelievable find this was! The... More

We enjoyed our awesome stay at this beautifully restored 19th century home. We live in Courtenay, BC and were heading to NB to visit friends and family. We took one night to ourselves to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful, quaint little town and awesome service and "to die for" eggs benny the next morning. A beautiful way to spend some alone... We spent a wonderful night at this lovely B&B in the heart of St Andrews. We have stayed here before and it was excellent again. The rooms were very tastefully appointed, having its own bath and sitting area with coffeemaker and water. The quiet relaxation was enough for us but it has a huge TV and a library of tapes... More

We stayed at this wonderful historic home bed and breakfast for three days. The home is only a few blocks from Water Street so is in an excellent walk to town /pier location. The room was very spacious, comfortably laid out and clean and we enjoyed a wonder cross breeze in the evening through the very large floor to ceiling... More

My husband and I were traveling to Nova Scotia to stay with my Uncle and Aunt. We originally planned to stay at the Montague Rose on the 28th, but with Hurricane Irene coming through, we changed our plans to the 27th. After taking the red-eye from Oregon and driving straight through from Boston, we were hungry and thirsty! Joe and... More

We (my wife and I) only spent one night here but we both agreed that if we were staying longer this would be the spot. It is situated just two blocks from the main street and is an older home that had been specially built some time around 1850. The owner/operator is Joe Carney. Joe is originally from London, England... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night on September 2nd on a family 'eastcoast' vaction with my 8 year old daughter. The place was a beautifully restored and wonderfully decorated historic house but renovated with all the modern conveniances. The room we stayed in was the Ballyhaunis. The room has a beautiful canopy bed, a nice sitting area... More

My wife and I stayed a night at the Montague Rose on our way home after traveling through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It, without a doubt was the most peaceful and relaxing part of our trip. It is a beautiful old home in a very quiet neighborhood, two blocks away from the main street. We stayed in the Ballyhaunis... More

What a lovely house with very comfortable rooms. We had a nice whirlpool in our room which was just perfect after a day of running around St. Andrews. The host and hostess were most gracious. We were even given a free upgrade for no other reason than they had room. Breakfast was delicious! The Montague Rose is a rela treat. More
