My husband and I recently completed a 2 week tour of the Maritimes. The lovely l'Europa Hotel in St. Andrew's on the Sea, New Brunswick was recommended by a friend. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted with this small (8 room) hotel.

The building is over 100 years old and has been refurbished as a very comfortable inn. From reception to accommodation to dining, the l'Europa was the highlight our our trip. Breakfast is complimentary and included eggs done to your preference, yogurt, cereals, croissant, juice, coffee, toast.

The dining room is a warm, friendly space with excellent service and a price slightly lower than other establishments in St. Andres's of a similar style - we checked out a couple. The food was sublime, prepared with European style by owner/chef Marcus Ritter. Marcus and his lovely wife, Simone, are and young couple who seemed to have hit on the right combination of old world style and modern day comfort.
