I ran across this inn while taking a walk on the beach. I immediately turned around and went in to ask about prices and availability. The lady at the desk (Debbie) was more than happy to help me and I was so thrilled, I booked the room and ran back to get my car. I got a room directly above... more

As beautiful as ever .We were here last Spring and luckily ended up at the Sand Pebbles. We booked ahead and had a wonderful room above the office with a geourgious view. We thought the place was fab in the Spring but "Oh My" With the flowers and the sunsetting right out in front of us , "georgious" The sunset's... more

Our patio door opened onto the grass courtyard, where we sat in lawn chairs watching my children (age 5 and 9) play on the beach below. Later that night, we sat out with several other guests, watching the glorious sunset. I'm already planning to return! The location of this little inn will make your trip. It sits right on the... more

I was travelling on business and saw this place while I was going the one direction, but I saw it was on the ocean and had free internet access so I decided on my way back I would stay there. I liked the fact it was right on the ocean, the room was clean but very 70's as far as... more

We stayed here un-expectedly, and found the place an affordable jewel. We sleped to the sound of waves an woke to the sound of seals. The room was clean, bed was very comfteritable, there is a nice courtyard and of course sandy beach to play on. We will plan to stay here again. more

We've stayed her in the past and love the oceanfront location. We returned because of rave reviews on TripAdvisor. Oops! The place is a 60s-style wood-frame motel with a serious need for upgrade. As a guess, about $1 million needs to be spent to modernize; otherwise, the property will slide gently downhill until it's redeveloped as condos or time-share units. more

Management response from

This property has always been a wood frame building and is affordable and clean. A million dollar + upgrade would make this property available only to a select few who have enough money to spend $300-$400 per night. The property is well maintained ( fresh paint, new carpeting, furniture and beds) Repairs and Maintenance are done on an ongoing basis....

Debbie and Bruce were great hosts! We stayed for two weeks and felt very at home. We had a kitchenette in our room and fresh towels and sheets whenever we needed. A microwave was a great plus! We did all our shopping at Qualicum Foods and just cooked in the room...we saved a lot of dollars. Our room was near... more

This was the best place we stayed during our tour of the island. The rooms were spotless, the view second to non and the host went out of their way to make sure we had a good visit. We'll be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time!!!!! I think we found a real treasure. more

After reading earlier reviews we were expecting something better. Our room was musty smelling and not overly clean. It felt like the outside wooden deck was rotting...didn't want to risk sitting out there. Wouldn't go back to this motel. more
