This was a one night stop for us on the way from Ontario to Nova Scotia. I read the reviews of the four local motels and we chose this one as it was $30 cheaper than the Best Western and we just wanted a place to sleep. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, but dated, and the... more

We found the place late at night on our way to Montreal. We booked on the Internet and the room cost $80. The room itself was quiet and clean. The 2 towels were skimpy white motel towels. The numbers on the outside door are small and hard to read unless you are walking right next to them. The Internet wasn't... more

We stayed in Howard Johnson Inn Woodstock for the first time. We were here visiting family. I looked at the website and was reluctant to stay because of the reviews from the previous guest. But I wasn't ready to pay over $120 for a room which one of the local hotel was charging also. We stopped at the hotel and... more

We were forced off the road due to weather, we booked 2 rooms and they were disgusting! They both had a terrible smell, both toilets clogged, (rooms 28 and 29) are right by the septic field, both rooms were infested with ants, and needless to say, with bugs crawling, no one got any sleep!! Except for the fact that roads... more

This place is digusting. The room stank of pets and the numerous stains on the carpet worried me - no doubt all previous guests let their pets use the floor as their personal bathroom. The room was dirty and old overall; oddly the bathroom was reasonably clean. The Mountain View restaurant was dreadful - we ordered dinner and skipped breakfast.... more

I've stayed at the Woodstock Howard Johnson many times during the last 2 years. I am pleased to say that the staff at Howard Johnson were excellent because any needs or concerns that I had, they did their best to make my stay welcome. Also the rooms are beautiful, and the pool was just lots of fun. I will continue... more

This is where you go when there are no other choices. Rooms are small and noisy. Dining room was OK for breakfast. Prices are high for the value received. more

My wife and three kids recently stayed at the Howard Johnson's in Woodstock because our first choice (the Best Western) was fully booked. We paid $132.23 after tax for a 2 double-bed room. The Howard Johnson is an old, drive-up-to-your-room motel located on the TransCanada. Cons 1) We booked online and a fake chat window comes up telling you about... more

During my trip i happened to pass by Woodstock and stayed at the Howard Johnson's for a couple of days, i must admit that i was very impressed by the quality of service that i got from the courteous staff that worked at the hotel. I was most amazed with the service that the front desk clerk by the name... more

I am shocked to read any negative reviews of this fine establishment!!! While passing through Woodstock last August, with a friend and two childern,we recieved nothing but first class service . Under new family ownership. We found VERY clean rooms, plenty of clean towels, linens etc. We received an excellent dinner in the restaurant .Impecable service. I have nothing but praise for... more
